Making Monumental Representation Happen
When Mike Phillips, son of attorney, civil rights advocate, politician, and trailblazer Vel R. Phillips, needed marketing strategy, branding, and content support, he turned to Campe + Co.
Cory Ampe is now a proud member of the Vel Phillips Legacy Initiative Task Force, which is working tirelessly to permanently place a sculpture honoring Vel Phillips at the Wisconsin State Capitol. Campe + Co. led efforts to brand and create a visual identity for the Task Force, executed a successful fundraising campaign, and supported a series of events to attract and rally supporters. The Task Force is now 90% to its goal of raising $560k needed to realize this bipartisan, one-of-a-kind effort and is ready to launch a new partner campaign in 2024.

Cory Ampe , the founder of Campe + Co., has worked in marketing and advertising for 25 years. Digital marketing and content are her professional passions. She has delivered results for clients large and small. Cory is a creative strategist, content producer, lover of technology, and brand enthusiast. She is also a known networker and connector of people. Campe + Co. specializes in marketing for the arts, tourism, placemaking, nonprofits, technology, and media. When Cory isn't running Campe + Co., she is the President of United Adworkers, serves on the Board of Directors for Islands of Brilliance and Sculpture Milwaukee, is a contributing writer, and volunteers for the Vel Phillips Legacy Initiative, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, the Milwaukee Downtown Placemaking Task Force, and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. She is also the mother of two highly energetic kids and the wife of a reformed Creative Director.
